“Hawkeye” is going live on Disney+.

The animated series starring the demure bow-wielding hero, part of Marvel’s Defenders line, is set to join Netflix’s groundbreaking “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” franchises.

At a press event in Los Angeles on Monday, Disney’s Kevin Mayer announced “Hawkeye” to a crowd of reporters and guests.

The series, which begins production on Jan. 28, will star recuperating rogue Clint Barton, better known as Hawkeye, played by the actor Jeremy Renner.

Not only will he be on the road again, but he’ll find the Avengers — and his alter ego — in desperate need of support.

According to Disney, the character — an archer whose special powers include archery, close-range shooting and the ability to absorb kinetic energy — is a favorite with fans, and “has a visceral feel that makes him relatable.”

The potential for the character’s revival, after a long absence in TV land, was revived recently when director Joss Whedon was hired to reboot “The Avengers.”
