Ten individuals and one group have been honoured with this year’s CNN Heroes award, recognising those who have improved their communities through their work.
The prize recognises people doing extraordinary things and includes a $100,000 (£80,000) donation to a charity of their choice.
Every year, more than 40 million people tune in to CNN to watch the winners be announced.
The two winners for 2020, which were announced during tonight’s episode of AC360, include a tailor and a talented make-up artist.
