Now with all of that synchronicity, Mariah

Mariah Carey, looking graceful in her festive I Wish You a Merry Christmas Christmastime ensemble, has released yet another Christmas album. This one is called Merry Christmas II You.

“Merry Christmas II You was inspired by the songs I loved as a child,” Carey said in a statement. “This time, we put all the classic favorites back in the studio in their original, pitch-perfect form and packed it with my favorite new songs. It’s the holiday album I always wanted to make.”

This marks Carey’s fifteenth Christmas album — the unofficial genre of the decade — which is apparently enough to convince modern adoring fans that the well-worn song wasn’t ever quite finished.

“The term ‘Christmas Album’ might be used too loosely when it comes to Mariah Carey’s most beloved holiday tracks,” award-winning band Incubus stated on their Twitter page.

“Christmas album of the decade,” added Bethany Dillon, the lead singer of pop band Little Criminals.
